Who We Are

The jurisdiction of the J&K Funds Organization extends to whole of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Organization has twenty District level offices, two provincial level GP Fund Police Cells located at ZPHQ, Jammu/Srinagar and two moving Fund Units comprising of GP Fund Police Move Cell, PHQ and GP Fund Moving Cell, Civil Secretariat. The Directorate of J&K funds Organization is headed at present by the Director General who exercises overall administrative and financial powers conferred under statutory rules/regulations. The Directorate office also moves with Darbar and is housed in Finance Complex, Muthi in Jammu and Old Secretariat at Srinagar. The telephone numbers are:

The Directorate of J&K Funds Organization is assisted by two Joint Directors at provincial levels who also discharge their duties as Controlling Officers. The two Joint Directorates monitor and supervise the working of each Fund Unit besides conducting administrative inspections and internal audits so as to ensure strict adherence of codal provisions and instructions issued by the higher authorities from time to time. The Divisional Fund offices also convene monthly meetings of Fund offices under their administrative control to discuss different layers of ineptness whether intentional or otherwise and corrective measures are devised to address them accordingly. The Divisional Fund offices are also entrusted to deal with different functions pertaining to Fund offices viz. consolidation of Budget proposals, distribution of funds, annual physical verifications, administrative inspections, internal audits, establishment of all Fund Units, preparation of Consolidated Broad Sheet/Consolidated O.B. Statement/Consolidated Inward-Outward Register etc.

Stale Life Insurance: Maintenance of SLI Fund accounts has been entrusted to J&K Funds Organisation. Earlier the accounts were maintained at Divisional level both at Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu and Srinagar. Now by virtue of decentralization of SLI the accounts are being at District Level offices under the supervision of CAO's concerned. The SLI fund has been compulsory for all the State employees whose age on next date of birth is 18 years or more but not over 45 years of age.
